Just like your make up brushes, your weaves can last a lifetime. Okay okay maybe not a life time but a reaaaaally long time. Washing and conditioning your weave helps it to retain its beauty and it’s a hack every girl that loves weaves should learn.
I almost lost my sense of smell the day I got a whiff of one fine girl’s weave in a bus.
Shampooing isn’t really necessary. A good conditioner would do. But for extra shine, you can start off by doing an ACV rinse.
In a wide bowl or bucket, pour enough warm water not hot and add two table spoons of apple cider vinegar. A little goes a long way.
Leave it too soak for 15 to 45 mins.
After that, rinse off the vinegar and if you didn’t do the ACV rinse, please still soak in warm water for the same time. Take the conditioner and rub it through with your fingers from where the track starts to the end of the weave. This helps to remove tangles.
Also leave it to soak for 15 to 20 mins. Rinse with warm water and them follow up with cold water. If you want curls, grab your roller and after towel drying, roll the hair as you please and air dry.
