Saturday May 28,2016 was a day the Foundation for a Formidable Future was laid among Yewa Students.
Miss Tourism of Ogun State 2015, Queen Akinlawon Ayoola gave back to the community that produced her. Ilaro, the town Ayoola came from was the host community of the event which was graced by students of both primary and secondary schools across the town.
The event which was spiced up by the Mathematics competition and spelling bee for both Primary and Junior secondary schools was graced by dignitaries across the state including the coordinator of Miss Tourism Ogun State and CEO AGL Technologies Mr Olalekan Oladiran, Mrs Iyabo Raji (representing Alhaji Ibrahim Dende Egungbohun), Dr Tunde Ogunsina, VJ Priceless, Head Teacher of Schools, Mr. Daniel of LovablevibesTv, Magnificent Godwin (Mag Media) and others.
The event which took shape when the representative of each schools are separated for the Mathematics competition and the spelling bee which was well supervised by Mr Kayode Olaonipekun and Mr Kusoro Jeremiah (CEO Yewa News Extra).
Polytechnic Staff Nursery and Primary School won the primary section and Polytechnic Staff College won the secondary section of the Spelling Bee Competition. The Mathematics Competition also was won by Polytechnic Staff Nursery and Primary School while the Secondary section was won by Baptist High School Ilaro. The students also thrilled the guest with cultural dances, Traditional Homage, Fire Dancing and lots more.
Queen Ayoola advised the students to concentrate more on their studies, appreciate their parent or guardians that have giving them the privilege to learn and make sure they turn to better leaders and mentors in years to come. She later brought the event to a close by showering praises on the schools present, the Judges, the event planning committee, Miss Tourism Ogun State entourage, and those that supported the event among which are; MINISTRY OF CULTURE AND TOURISM, IBD IMPEX LIMITED, ROYAL CUSTARD, ELLYSAM HOTEL AND SUITES, 3ACE BOUTIQUE & PRINCE GBOYEGA NOSIRU ISIAKA.
