You should take special care of your texturized hair to keep it as healthy as possible, here’s how to do so.
Texturizing adds body to thin or fine hair, often leaving the hair looking healthier than before the texturizing. Though texturized hair is commonly regarded as easier to care for than hair that has not been texturized.
Things You’ll Need
Shampoo your hair three to four times a week with a volumizing shampoo. Shampooing texturized hair daily can lead to dry, brittle hair. Instead, texturized hair should be shampooed a maximum of four times per week.
Apply a deep conditioner to your hair twice a week. A deep conditioner will keep texturized hair hydrated and shiny if used twice a week. Too much use of conditioner can weigh down hair, giving it a lifeless, dull appearance
Comb your hair with a wide-toothed comb. Avoid using a hairbrush, which can damage texturized hair.
Avoid heated styling elements, which can dry out texturized hair, leaving it brittle and dull.
Use moderate amounts of styling products if you must, but avoid them entirely if you can. Styling products such as gel, mousse and hairspray can build up in texturized hair and weigh it down.
