In a recent chat, Jennifer speaks about her career in the Nigerian film industry and her style.
ON WHY SHE CHOSE FILM AND TV MAKEUP
”I actually chose makeup at the time because, to me, it was the easiest of all my talents and honestly because I wanted to make a difference in the film industry in Nigeria. So rather than just criticize, I decided to provide a solution no matter how little. It’s been very challenging working in Nigeria as a professional makeup artist for film and TV. From getting products to actually being payed properly for your services to hazards caused by our weather… Wow. It is challenging working here in Nigeria.”
ON WHETHER SHE CONSIDERS HERSELF A FASHION TRENDSETTER
”Wow!!! That’s a huge compliment, THANK YOU. however, I am not good at giving myself accolades like that. I basically just wear what I feel like, and care less about stereotypical rules. However I can say honestly that I know I like to look really good, comfortable and unique. Lol. So would YOU call me a trendsetter? I’d be waiting for your reply. Lol.”
HER FAVOURITE GO-TO PEOPLE IN THE FASHION INDUSTRY FOR HER STYLING
”My favourite people are – James Brendan – for every and any couture piece because he understands how to make clothes for my body.
Yolanda Okereke and Damilola Oke – for styling, because they have been able to understand my style sense and I love and can trust their creative expertise.”
