The second step of the style tips series every guy should know.
Fit Is Everything
Most times guys don’t care about “fit” because they want to be comfortable, think tight clothes are feminine or, in some cases, have never even considered the question of fit. A man wearing a huge pair of corduroy pants, flannel shirt, and cardigan sweater is a fashion emergency. Whatever body type you happen to be now, that’s the body you need to dress for today.
What does your suit look like? When you buy a suit, you get it tailored to your body, whatever your body type is. Either in the store with their tailor, or at a trusted tailor shop near you, you would never wear a suit to the office that just hung off your body with your torso swimming in the jacket and the pants and sleeves too long, right?
It’s the same with those jeans, khakis, sweaters, and polo shirts. Your casual clothes need to fit too. And if you’re one of those guys who’s leaning the other way on the fashion spectrum, wearing the clothes that fit you when you were 20 pounds lighter, stop it. A man wearing a super-chic $5,000 Tom Ford suit whose skin is peeking out between the buttons of his straining dress shirt looks almost as bad as a man wearing ugly and dirty clothes. Fit. Is. Everything.
