It’s normal that sometimes, when we are done with our perfect make up, we look in the mirror and see a make up problem, an eye liner smudge, lipstick smudge or something out of place which we find annoying.

While these things may happen at the wrong time, they can be easily fixed with these 10 incredible tips below:

1. Stop your eyeshadow from creasing

All you need to do to stop your eyeshadow from creasing is to apply some kind of base, before you apply the eyeshadow. You can use an eye primer that has been made especially for the job, or you could use foundation or concealer. If you have neither of these at hand, try using a gel eyeliner of the same colour as your eyeshadow as a base.

2. Stop getting lipstick on your teeth

Looking in a mirror and finding that you have lipstick on your teeth is a very common problem that has an easy solution. Once you have finished applying your lipstick, pop your index finger in your mouth and wrap your lips around it. When you pull out your finger, any excess lipstick will come off on your finger.

3. Make makeup brushes last longer

If you seem to be constantly buying new makeup brushes, then it could just be that you need to clean them more often. Makeup brushes should be washed, at least once a month, or you will get a build-up of product in them that can damage the bristles. More importantly, bacteria can breed in unwashed makeup brushes.

4. Use sticky tape to remove flecks of eyeshadow

If you notice that some flecks of eyeshadow have fallen on your cheeks, you can’t just wipe them off, because you will smear your foundation. The easiest way to remove them is to gently lift them off with a small piece of sticky tape.

5. How to apply bronzer that looks natural?

Bronzer can look great when it is applied well, but if you get it wrong, you will look more like a sunburned orange than a bronzed beauty. To make bronzer look natural, apply it very sparingly, and apply to just the areas of your face that sun would touch naturally. You only need a small amount of bronzer to achieve that sun-kissed look.

6. How to make sure that all your makeup comes off?

If you are having trouble removing all your makeup at night, then you probably just need to change your cleanser. Try using an oil-based cleanser, they break down makeup more effectively and, if you are still having problems getting your makeup off easily, try removing the last remnants of your makeup with a cotton wool ball soaked in toner.

7. Stop lipstick feathering

Lipstick can do amazing things like, brighten your whole face, and make you feel more confident, but it doesn’t look so great, when it bleeds onto your skin or feathers. The answer is the same as it was for creasing eyeshadow; you need to apply a base first. Use a lip primer, before you apply lipstick, and that will keep your lipstick exactly where you want it and it will last for much longer too.

8. How to make brows look natural?

When you fill in the sparse areas of your brows with a pencil, the aim is to make them look full, but natural. If you find that you keep overdoing your brows and they look too pronounced, try using very quick, short strokes with the pencil, moving in the same direction as the hairs are growing. Your pencilled in areas will then look the same as the natural hairs.

9. Make contouring look more natural

Contouring can make a huge difference to your face. It can slim your nose, hide a double chin, and balance up your features. The mistake that many people make with contouring, though, is that the lines between highlighter and the contouring shade are far too obvious. To make it look more natural, the answer is to spend more time blending the dark and light shades, so that you don’t get any noticeable lines.

10. Stop foundation looking cakey

Foundation should look light and flawless, so here is a great tip that will stop your foundation looking heavy and cakey. When you apply your foundation, start in the centre of your face and gradually work your way to the outside. Begin by applying sheer layer and then add more if you need to. It’s always easier to add a little more, than it is to take off too much.
